About the artist

We are pleased to introduce the work of passionate Ukrainian artist Olga Y., whose creativity is deeply inspired by nature and its endless beauty. Originally from Ukraine, she moved to the Netherlands after the full-scale war began. In this new chapter of her life, she dedicated herself to painting, turning her passion into a second profession.

With a master’s degree in finance and marketing, Olga had long dreamed of becoming an artist. Yet, no one could have predicted that such a tragic event would become a turning point—leading her to embrace a new path and develop the artistic skills she had always longed to master. Art became not only a way to express emotions but also a bridge to a new life, filled with creativity, inspiration, and a deep appreciation for the world around her.

The sea, with its ever-changing moods, has become the heart of her work. The restless waves, the call of seabirds soaring in the wind, the golden reflections of the sun on the water—these elements all shape the atmosphere of her paintings. Through soft colors and dynamic strokes, she captures the movement of nature, the serenity of the horizon, and the quiet beauty of vast landscapes.

Through her art, she hopes to share a piece of her soul and bring happiness to others by evoking a sense of peace, inspiration, and connection to the natural world in every painting.
